GDPR and data processed through BIZDESK
BIZDESK separates data HI TECH STAR uses to sell and support the service from data customers enter in their own workspace.
Privacy roles
HI TECH STAR is controller for accounts, orders, licenses, payments, resellers, tickets and service security. For customer, supplier and document data entered by a business into the cloud, that business normally acts as controller and HI TECH STAR as processor within the service scope.
Instructions and confidentiality
Customer data is processed for synchronization, backup, recovery, support and security under the contract and lawful customer instructions. Access is restricted to authorised persons bound by confidentiality.
Protection measures
The service uses HTTPS, separated workspaces and sessions, license control, database backups and update checks. Measures are reviewed as risks and the service evolve.
Customer assistance
Within available information, HI TECH STAR assists with data subject requests, incidents, return or erasure and applicable security duties.
Providers
The customer authorises the necessary providers described under Providers and data. Material changes will be published as soon as practical.
Export and erasure
Before disconnecting or uninstalling, complete synchronization and export needed data. Disconnect license preserves the workspace; Clear company data erases current workspace data.
Data processing agreement
Where GDPR Article 28 applies, detailed processing terms may be requested at software@bizdesk.app and supplement the applicable service terms.
